Do you plan on hiring a landscaping crew or doing the yardwork yourself? That's one of the more annoying house drawbacks.

I live in a house and bought a condo on the beach that I rent out and visit when I want a vacation. The condo is just the balcony as far as exterior goes so easier to maintain. To me it's the perfect setup

Bigger the house the bigger the expenses down the line. I own a condo and help my parents with their maintenance of the home. Just remodel the bathroom might be $15k and condo remodel (the entire condo) is $30k

Real issue with the condos are the HOA fees.

They can actually initiate a foreclosure on your home for non-payment.

As long as you can keep up with the payments, then it's a good investment though, especially if you can get a second home and rent out the condo.

However, you have to read all the Ts&Cs. There are some that won't even allow you to sublet.

HOA sucks but they usually don't unless you been deliquent for months. I've fallen behind and nothing has happened to me.

Also you need to add the HOA vs how you would provide those extra services. In the non city parts you're paying $150-$200 per month for MUD. What if you stop paying? Well after a while you're gonna lose your house

One of the condos I’m looking at

But this is just me living there

I want a two bedroom

Why are you looking at a condo that sold last September and isn’t on the market?

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
When it comes to cities I would never buy house I would only buy a condo.

Houses are only attractive in the suburbs.

Only the nice wealthy areas in the city have nice houses but usually those areas are unaffordable
