It's not just the ice. The worst is that folks just not used to driving in these conditions. Just stay off the roads and stay at home. Make sure you have a gas burner in case electricity goes out and you want to cook something or BBQ. Have enough water, etc. Standard procedure in the south.

I remember the one that happened a decade ago...i had to leave my Audi on the side of 2-85
I can't believe that it has been nearly 12 years still that happened...I thought it was so much more recent than that.

What happened when you left your car on 285? Like, did you and others do a group walk off the freeway to get to safety?

Yup, i had a chance to leave my office early that day too but i laughed at everybody like an idiot. By the time i left, 2-85 was gridlocked and i was stuck in traffic for hours...i finally said fukk it and walked to the next exit. Everybody was leaving their cars, some people ran out of gas. it was a mess

You had some good Samaritans with trucks droppin people off where they needed to be and I caught a ride.

I didnt get my car back until days later

You think the northeast is flat!?!?!!?!?
I’m talking about the metropolitans in the northeast. They are all coastal cities on the eastern seaboard. All are quite east of Appalachians and are considered coastal forests at sea level. We’re talking about large cities broski, not rural areas inward.

So yes, Boston, New York, Philly, Baltimore, DC are flatlands. Aside from you misunderstanding my post, there’s nothing to really to dispute about that.

We staying at the Intercontinental for the next two nights. Should we cancel?
:patrice:
As of right now, it’s showing rain after 2pm on Sunday. I live in south Dekalb. Technically I could take the roads to get back home but I don’t know.

You should take the roads as long as you dont have to climb any hills.

My problem is i live on a big hill and the job itself is hilly and requires transportation
