I just moved here and I’ve never had to buy a house because I always worked in residential life on college campuses. About how much does a 100k house equal out to in monthly payments?

if I had 900-1000 to spend on rent, what parts of town or the region am I realistically looking at?

100k mortgage is like 500-650 depending on mortgage rates and escrow.

9-1000 for a one bedroom is going to put you in a somewhat decent area. Nothing fancy. Not Buckhead or midtown but the suburbs. Maybe Dekalb, Clayton or parts of Cobb. Move close to your job because that makes all the difference in the world.

no you can’t . You’d barely get a 1 bed 1 bath condo for 110k. Atl housing market is catching up to the rest of the country. Mostly due to transplants and investors

They still have a ton of open land to build houses though. 1/4th the actual city of Atlanta is rural. Plus all the open land in the burbs.There's no more open land in NY and here in LA.
