I was there last week. The energy is completely different from when I first visited in the early 00's and is different from how it was the last time I was there just three years ago.
I remember when I used to go to Atlanta it felt black as hell. Black people were everywhere and the cacs you saw were natives.
Now all i see are cacs who clearly arent from there. shyt is now flooded with these cacs who arent from Atlanta or even the south who have changed the southern character of the city. Even the moist dudes I saw were white
All i saw in the sky were cranes building even more luxury high rises which will continue this gentrification process smh. All the black ppl I saw were working retail or grocery stores or driving uber.
Atlanta has always been about black ppl flexing their political power, but the politicians have sold them out for this new cac money flooding in.
