Honestly, if Buckhead is successful in succeeding, I'm leaving Atlanta. This entire area is already too fractured. It doesn't make any sense for an area to have so many cities and counties in such a small area.
Hopefully when the people of Buckhead actually look at what a split-up will actually cost and the ramifications on them and the rest of the city, they'll come to their damn senses.
As far as crime go, splitting up won't do a damn thing if they're trying to keep their revenue. They could theoretically shut down the clubs and the shops, but then all your money is gone. The Buckhead mansions are a net negative on the tax base. It's mainly the commercial properties that bring in the money. And if they're gone, then so is the reason for going to Buckhead. Crime has gone up everywhere in the city.
