ATLiens and Aquemini are both 5* albums. They're not gonna be surpassed by some of the albums you mentioned. Stillmatic, Beneath the Surface...some of these albums aren't in the same stratosphere.

Outkast is up there but Ready to Die/Life After Death and Illmatic/It was written both changed hip hop when they dropped. And Ice Cubes post NWA run is amazing.
Ready To Die / Life After Death is right there for sure. It’s so close! Illmatic / It Was Written just a notch below those tho!

Bro listen to me when I tell you I never in a million years thought Outkast could top ATLiens & then they went & made Spottiottiedopalicious & Liberation :mindblown: I grew up in Maryland outside Baltimore I’m not even a down south cat but that don’t matter!! Ha
I agree. I caught up with Kast in the early 00s and was blown away by all their creativity and beautiful tunes, plus pro black positive messages. Truly special

Both are classics but I'll take each and every of these back to backs over 'kast's:

The Infamous & Hell on Earth
Ironman & Supreme Clientele
The Chronic & 2001
Ready to Die & Life After Death
All Eyez On Me & 7 Day Theory
Low End Theory & Midnight Marauders
Illmatic & It Was Written
36 Chambers & Forever

These two albums should be in this conversation also. Paul's Boutique changed the way how sampling was being used and also put the sample clearance law in effect after this. Both these albums are flawless and have not aged a bit.

Paul's Boutique was a great album indeed, but Nation of Millions pre-dates this and everything they did on PB, the Bomb Squad did first. Please don't listen to these white youtubers trying to give the Beastie Boys credit for shyt the Bomb Squad was already doing
