i thought terminal velocity for a body was well below the sound barrier? Maybe the lack of air resistance will get him up there? If that's the case hows that work out in terms of a sonic boom? Does it occur once he does hit the atmosphere?


my money is that when they get to where he lands they are going to find a smouldering glob after he hits the air i know the fastest he can go is like 200mph. mach 1.2 is what...like 4-5 times that. Oh there will be smoke home boys, there will be smoke.

Kittinger hit 614mph, he would have broken the sound barrier had he not used a stabilizing chute.

From what I understand, Felix will only use a drogue chute if he starts to spin out of control.
