Like ghostface said "waiting on these royalties is like waiting on babies"![]()
That's that rapper money but producing and having diversity in one's music helps. Plus, getting in the door means so much when one has many skills. Most rap dudes aren't educated or know how to make real use of that clout. That access can at least lead to a respectable 9 to 5 in the music industry.

One can be a session musician, push their music to licensed in any medium possible, there a plethora of jobs in the music industry that resemble our "standard" 9 to 5s. Music is like any business. Most do not see dividends until years after the fact.but u just stated "you werent making any money" so how do u explain that
and when im talking MONEY im talking ROYALTIES
Even producers are having difficulties getting checks..cause of the lack of airplay and the rising mass of internet and digital radio stations whom are not registered and monitered by ASCAP and BMI
Along with the fact that very few producers are getting signed to publishing / production deals
most cats like my client are just getting upfront flat payouts for one offs sessions and beats
