See, you going by them rankings... which don't mean a whole lot 1-10.... When I used to follow recruiting kind of hard, you go by who got the most sure things....(NFL Talent) and Bama just doesn't get NFL talent, its early round talent...... 2, sometimes 3 positions deep...... dude they had Ha Ha and Collins in the secondary at the same time... these guys(barring injury of course) were NFL locks coming out of high school.... you lose Hightower(who was a NFL lock) and then get Reuben Foster and Ragland... :mjlol:

Don't get me started on the O line... this is just recent shyt off the top of my head..... Alabama isn't getting great high school players... they are getting the crim dela crim.... not just a lot of guys who have a shot at getting drafted..... which any college football program would die for that talent.... but kids coming out of high school who are locks to have NFL CAREERS... its a major difference...

and the Alabama coaching staff isn't the only great coaching staff by far.... you can do all the "coaching up" in the world, but if you aint got the talent..... :yeshrug:

Clemson coaches up their talent while having lesser ranked recruiting classes. That's why I said coaching up. And Clemson pulls in top 20, not top 10 classes.

like @Sherminator said, these other schools aren't doing the job of putting the talent into the right scheme even if it means changing your philosophy some.

Clemson is doing great.... but that's mainly because of how they let their QB freestyle.... the mobile QB has frustrated Bama so much that he went and got 2 of his own....

Kelly Bryant is good.... but Tua and Hurt are 5 star freaks.... get at me when Clemson dominates for a decade straight...... you're not going to do that having hit and miss classes, regardless of recruiting rank.... and Bama hasn't missed on a recruiting class in a decade, while most of the other top 10 schools have.....

I don't think the other schools with top 10 classes "missed" as a whole. I just don't think they did as good of a job of coaching their talent up as say a Bama has.

...the inner-conference bickering threads like this one and the monthly (insert osu coli fan here___) going at (insert michigan coli fan here___) threads, always delivers. y'all are the real MVPs.

I originally made a thread about Michael Beasley but I saw it was one on him already so I edited it into this :lolbron: I just threw a grenade in the air and watched it come down

I would argue that point as very valid and a flaw, case in point

Vinnie sunseri or However you spell his name, had he went to any other school he might have went late in the draft and wash out after a year or two, but because saban always kept him in situations where his lack of speed was never shown, and he never had to cover the best athletes on the field he looked like a top rated hard hitting db,

Same goes for his d line, a lot of his d line go because he schemes to put them in position to showcase NFL skill, clog the run lanes, and in some cases get penetration and tfl

But in the same breath the current coach at vandy has some schemes, just not the talent, same with stoops in Kentucky

Alabama is rich because they get the talent and have the skills
Not only do they get the top classes on paper, they pan out on the field, and they are coached up

I agree with this. Talent wise they do have just as much, maybe not 3 deep but definitely 2 deep they do when the recruiting is over with. Nobody produces talent in the south like the state of Georgia besides Florida when it comes to volume and quality.
But I also agree with this...
I think you are missing my point, or I'm not doing a good enough job clearly speaking on my point, yes you are still getting talent, I whole heartedly agree with you, but to me, you guys had way more back in the day then the past couple years,

I also am saying just because (insert rankings program here) says you had whatever number class, does not mean you had great talent, talent on paper, and on the field do not co-exist equally, but even more importantly what you scheme said talent into.
I think UGA is losing a lot of talent to Bama,Clemson, Auburn etc but they still have plenty

Cry me a fukkin river...... :beli:

This is straight underachieving and not being coached up. The "old" Clemson of college football, but even worse than Clemson used to be since they've had consistently better talent than Clemson.
