:ahhh:
The new M4 isn't as fast around the ring as the E46 M3
:ahhh:
I thought it did the ring in under 8 minutes which was the fastest of all m3s
I believe I probably read it in one of the main autoblogs, or it may have been people whining on 6speed. They were more than likely referring to the CSL though. I tried googling ring times a few nights ago but I kept hitting dead ends. If true. it's pretty damning considering the displacement of the M4.
I just googled ring times the m4 was 7:52 while e46 was slower at 8:22 seconds. Only a gutted out CSL which is a race car and far more priced did a 7:50
I don't look at it that way.. Over the history of track times to break 8 minutes is more than impressive. Take a look at the track times and see how many expensive sports cars costing much more have never done thatIt's been 10 years since the CSL came out and that's all they could achieve? To come second best to a 10 year old production car? The CSL wasn't much more expensive than a spec'd M4. I'm considering an M3 or M5 next go around but I won't kid myself that I didn't expect something more. The lines leave a bit to be desired as well.

Or more importantly the fact that the CSL was never sold in North America. These dumb fakkits will compare anything to try to prove their point....This fakkit knows damn well that the CSL was a limited edition race car yet he insists to use this car to detract because it's all he has. He drives a
S4 and calls modern BMWs fat....Only on the coli.......
BTW @88m3, I am still waiting for you to tell me what Audi's answer to the M3/M4 is....![]()
