Straight up and down. I think what I'm feeling right now is just like what Richard Pryor felt when he went to Africa. Using the word "nikka" at any one of y'all or any of my friends/family disgusts me right now. I been stuck that they KNEW about this man for 30 years. The first time it was documented was when I was 2 years old and they did nothing for 30 years. Just shrugged it away. That blows my fukking mind. The apathy is what gets me.

Due process is due process. I can't argue with that. But my problem is with black people arguing over which BLACK MAN said the most thought provoking shyt. They all did there part. I take the "my brothers' keeper" shyt serious, especially in times like these becuz this is when the most in-fighting happens.

This is what they want us to do. Focus on fighting each other while they slide under the radar.

Great point but at the same time, we need to hold each other accountable for our progression. I think we can both agree white people aren't going to be impacted like us, so we shouldn't hold out hope for them to for our issues. The prudent thing for us to do is focus on black people in a position to make statements and/or take actions and go from there. I agree we shouldn't be tearing brothers/sisters down too much but we need them to keep the heat on in a constructive way.

What are your thoughts on MJ in this situation?

The players have to take a stand. My respect goes to Jermaine O'neal, LeBron James, Kobe, and David West.
They should sit out or at the very least, do a press conference and openly denouce and criticize Donald Sterling.

And peeps who said something about players and retired commentators having to worry about blackballing - that's precisely what separates a man from a slave.
You stand for what you believe in and if that means a decrease in your earnings, you adjust your lifestyle accordingly and protect your dignity and pride.
And don't give me the tired "would you quit if you found out your boss is a racist" rhetoric because I once worked for a Fortune 500 corporation and quit (not race-related and I'm not even black - I'm Asian) and now I'm a proud business owner and I had to start from scratch.
Be it race-related or whatever, stand for what you believe in and work hard enough so that you don't have to bend you beliefs to earn a check.
