L would've either been sabotaged or never allowed to prosper. Unlike Cam, there was no Big L crew, no movement, no buzz at that time. he couldn't OG him like he could the Chain Gang or Bleek, and L didn't really have mainstream appeal to begin with.

Who is “sabotaging” him in this scenario?

Bruh... some of y'all gotta get an evaluation done or something... :mjlol: It's gotta be a problem to have this much mental energy invested into

Whole thread is about L and y'all turned it into yet another "Jay-Z is the devil" thread... as if Jay didn't have a whole label full of nikkas who could rhyme. B-b-but nah, he woulda used his magic powers to prevent Big L from being great.... right.

Y'all nikkas sound like Jaguar Wright.

They could just put him on the shelf. Was he gonna get push? Features? Superstar promo? And you know any Jay release was gonna push whatever he had back. And even then, what happens to Beans now that you got a bigger, more famous artist?

He would've been just another rapper on the label. And this was also before Diplomats, and before Beanie even had an album out, and when the rest of State Prop are just names signed to the label.

How about the obvious that no one wants to accept

Big L as a business entity was under the control of his older brother Big Lee

It was going to fall apart eventually, Lee wasn't well liked at all. Lee let him get involved in the events that led to his demise, how was his career going to go?

There was no Big L crew or movement? No buzz? Have you ever heard "Ebonics"??? Flamboyant entertainment was street money. Folks from all over the city came uptown to cop dust from his people. L was coming to the table with his own team, and his own money to spend. He had multiple proteges that were going to be signed under him, Stan Spit & C Town. He planned on putting his talent & cosign behind fresher faces.

Again it was going to crumble because of how Big Lee treated people, but L did have a movement.

This comeback he had 3 major cosigns so it is something to ponder

Flamboyant Ent/NFL Crew which was his hood. His older brother's crew was getting street money (you know all of this I'm sure).
