why is that the worst of us define us as a whole? i didnt see white people getting up in arms about honey boo-boo....how come they understand that honey boo-boo types are the lowest common denominator...and we cant see the same about ratchet men and women?

I don't think ratchet black women define all black women.
But black people are under-represented in the media and in entertainment.

I have to think that given the limited exposure that black women have (in general)...it is more important that the ones who DO get exposure are presented in a (somewhat) responsible/positive way.
