Watched the first episode of 'Rivalries' which is new on the WWE network over the weekend. First episode covered the GOAT feud between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon. I've always thought highly of this feud and remember absolutely loving it as a kid, but this show reminded me just how GOOD this fued was. Why can't they write compelling storylines like these anymore? You would literally have swerve after swerve and you never knew what the hell was gonna happen, a prime example being the Royal Rumble 1999. Initially you have Vince thinking he's screwing Austin by making him enter #1, then Michaels swerves it back in Austins favour slightly by putting McMahon in at #2. Austins now in favour then we get the big backstage beatdown by the corporation, Austin goes off to hospital and seemingly absolutely no chance of winning rumble. Then he comes back and you're thinking "yep he's winning the rumble now then", all for the Rock to come and screw Austin and Vinnie Mac to win the Rumble :wow: I also have to mention that's my favourite PPV just for the way the main-event had such a story from the weeks leading up to right through till the end of the PPV, along with the I Quit match.

And this piff went on for years :blessed: So many legendary segments, matches, moments :wow:

This is surely top #1 feud of all time?!
