:dwillhuh::ohhh::sadcam::sadbron::what::stopitslime::wtb::pacspit: My exact spectrum of facial expressions upon hearing that Austin LOST the podcast with Regal. Awww man, that would've been fukking lovely.

Listening to Talk Is Jericho's now. It's okay. Austin is retreading his Austin 3:16 merch story for the thousandth time and Y2J is serviceable as a host. I'll continue tuning in and seeing how it goes.

D-Bry episode was awesome. First time hearing him talk about stuff like psychology outside of the Wrestling Road Diaries, good stuff. I really hope there's a part 2 down the line because they wont have to talk about things we already now about DB (training with Shawn and Regal)...I would really like to hear him talk about the experience of working with Johnny Saint, Jushin Liger and being best buddies with Shinshuke Nakamura. Or getting to WWE and his work with Cena or his little interaction with Taker.

Austin loves Bryan so I'm hopeful we'll get part 2 in 2014 :salute:

I had no idea Danielson and Nakamura shared a friendship. Is this talked about in Wrestling Road Diaries? I've had that sitting on my hard drive for months.

Good interview but I take issue with some of Austin's advice for Bryan.

Austin telling Bryan not to get a big head is nice and feel-good and all, but that's easy for Austin to say.

HBK said a couple years about John Morrison "he's too nice of a guy".

I feel the same way about Bryan, he's too humble and nice to do anything other than job out to Orton.

You have to be an a$$hole and kind of get a big head or else you're going to be a doormat.

Nope that part isn't on WRD (great DVD for a D-Bry fan, must see imo), but they were roomates in the New Japan L.A dojo and became really good friends. Can't remember were I hear him talked about it though, maybe it was just twitter? :ld:

Maybe in the good old days, now you just have to be John Cena :troll:

Ah yes....I've been hearing the trolls mention this recently out and abroad. Well if Bryan was an "a$$hole" like Blandy, what would that get him? Getting jobbed out in the midcard all year for close to 3 years while Rock/Lesnar/Punk/Shield are pushed ahead of him? LOL. Bryan is not politican and shouldn't have to be one. You saw it yourself...he punked the shyt out of Michaels to HUGE cheers and "YOU TAPPED OUT" chants at the crossed eye wonder. They would be fools to hold this guy down and still try to force Reigns and Sheamus on people.

Oh he did...He was losing clean to Kane and Shield back to back Manias while Bryan lost to Sheamus and came out the bigger star. Then Bryan won at Mania 29 to damn near the biggest post match reaction of the year. He had horrible feuds with two unover Legacy talents in Dibiase and Cody for months. He was the Miz's personal jobber like a chump. Jobbed out to Christian and Henry. He was nothing. Bryan was rising during all of this...even in losing, he kept mattering. Got fired and fan demand brought him back.

Bryan's program is main eventing shows week after week while Blandy and Cena FINALLY got the main event spot for once over the last week or so:laugh: So they are paying attention to those ratings when it comes to Bryan and Punk.

At least Orton got a decent match at Mania with the Shield :manny:

Bryan's only hope for a good mania match at this point is for HBK to come out of retirement and politick for time on his behalf.

Otherwise it seems Bryan's too worried about driving his Prius and saving the Earth to give his fans what they want.

No one remembers what Blandy did at WM 29. Had I not mentioned it, no one would care. His only matches that have stood out was the I Quit Match with Bryan and I think that's it..NOPE. The Shield match vs Bryan, Kane, and Blandy and Bryan was the undoubted MVP of that match.

Politics or not politics, Bryan is head and shoulders above whatever they got planned for a good match at Mania XXX. The only reason Punk vs Taker was seen as the best match of the night is because they had Bryan carrying 40+ year old gimmick emulators.

Austin's interview with Jericho was entertaining. It was starting to get really good but due to time restraints we'll have to wait until next week to finish things up. :hmm:

As far as Austin's advice to Bryan goes, I didn't see anything wrong with what he said. We all know that in the real world, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Point being, while I know that being an a$$hole is a way that some feel is the only way to get ahead- actually I recall Jericho mentioning that on Austin's last DVD- that isn't always the case.

I think some may mistake his humbleness as being a pushover. He has respect for those who have come before him etc, but he doesn't grovel and that assholishness and having that proverbial chip on the shoulder is reflected in his passion to succeed but still remain down to earth. Just because one doesn't have an attitude or whatever doesn't mean that they lack passion, it just means that they have chosen a different way to garner success.

U can tell some of these guys are white just by some of the crazy notions they believe in. Vince is gonna push who he wants...no matter what. The Daniel Bryan chants during hyped main events is gonna lead to humilation though. Especially at the Mania and Rumble level.

yes He did after he lost the belt to Henry he got stuck in some never ending feud with Barrett. Before this recent main event he was trapped in a endless cycle of midcard feuds for all 2012 he also got suspended.

As far as Bryan being too nice, I kinda agree but Ziggler is proof that being a cocky a$$hole doesn't always work out in wwe politics so it's best he just follow Austin's advice and keep doing him.

Orton did all those midcard feuds after he had multiple world title reigns and was in mania main events already.

Not giving up on D-Bry just yet but if HBK passes on a match with him he's gonna have to reinvent himself or something.

Somethings not flying right. It's cool to be humble but the whole "golly gee shucks i'm just a nice guy" act was played out in 2011.
