Idk..JR is too pro-WWE for me. He either is afraid to go in on them or is REALLY one who likes to look on the bright side. I don't really enjoy JR's stuff because he seems to never be hard and straight up on WWE like Austin does.

I tend to disagree, JR drops bombs on the regular, you just have to look past his flowery text

The recent Q&A episode was good. I liked hearing Austin actually engaging in a conversation with the callers, as oppose to them just getting his opinion on what is currently going on in the 'E.'

His comments about the 'window of opportunity' pertaining to D-Bry's situation, were interesting.

The overall advice for Punk, to me, was spot on. Although I am a fan of Punk's, when word came out that he left I was just like 'meh' because I am someone who feels that 'one monkey don't stop a show'. It may slow it down a bit, but at the end of the day the show or as they say, 'the machine,' will keep going on.

I think that attitude was also the gist of the majority of callers. While they want D-Bry to be champion, if that doesn't come into fruition they will be frustrated but being real wrestling fans, they will continue to watch.

Pretty much spot on how I feel right now. At first I was like :damn: but then when I really thought about it I was like :ehh:...

I pretty much see EXACTLY where Punk is coming from cuz i would be frustrated too with all the bullshyt that be going on. However at the same time Punk needs to realize that he doesn't run the show..Vince McMahon runs the show..and rather you like it or not...the fans are going to keep watching and money is gonna keep flowing in whatever the content is. And thats just the way it is....

THE STEVE AUSTIN SHOW DRINKING GAME

1. Drink every time Austin acknowledges the WWF had no plans for him when they first brought him in. Tank an extra drink if the story includes the words "mechanic" or "carpenter."
2. Take one drink if Austin mentions his Ford Bronco. Take two drinks if he mentions Hershey the Wonder Dog. Make it three drinks for a story about Hersey riding in the Bronco.
3. Every time Austin cuts off his guest to explain something about pro wrestling as though the entirety of his audience isn't pro wrestling fans, chug and don't stop until the explanation stops.
4. Drink every time Austin throws to a commercial break but there's not an actual commercial break edited into the podcast.
5. Drink when Austin asks his guests what they thought of Dr. D slapping John Stossel.
6. When listening to a Mo episode, take a drink every time it sounds like Austin would pull a Dr. D on Mo if not for common decency.
7. Take a shot every time Austin brings up the MSG Curtain Call.
8. Take two shots if he mentions the Curtain Call to somebody who participated in it.
9. Take two drinks on every mention of the Bone Street Krew.
10. Take a sip if Austin says the show is "for the working man." Down the rest of your drink if, within the next two minutes, he mentions having something that no "working man" would have, like a ranch or custom made hunting scope.
11. Drink every time Austin reads ad copy for a product that would never be associated with his badass character from the 1990s, like CougarLife.com.
12. Take a shot every time Austin carefully dances around a touchy topic from his personal life, such as drug use or wife beating.
13. Chug every time Austin is clearly read facts to a guest from the guest's own Wikipedia profile, and don't stop chugging until he stops reading.
14. Take a drink every time Austin references watching a non-WWF wrestling product that you wouldn't expect him to watch, like TNA or ROH. Finish your drink if he ever mentions IWA Mid-South for some god foresaken reason.
15. If the guest isn't a wrestler . . . forget it, we know you're not listening to the show if that's the case.

There are certain instances where I could understand a form of frustration from Punk and that was when he resigned with the 'E' and the whole Nash situation took place et cetera. However, he did choose to go along with those crap story-lines so he could eventually be viewed as one of their main attractions and receive extra perks.

Punk has always had a false sense of self that derives from delusions of grandeur. If he is feeling frustrated- in many ways, he only has himself to blame. While the ride hasn't always run smoothly, he has been given a lot of good opportunities and has made a lot of money.

Eh...I just can't rally behind someone who even before the infamous 'pipebomb' was put into spots that were noteworthy. I mean if he is feeling 'frustrated' just imagine how others who haven't been given half of the opportunities he has feels.

Really though, compared to people like Ziggler, Sandow, and Ryder who literally got the rug pulled from under them. Punk had it GOOD...

With all due respect to the Queen of TSC, I have to bring up an alternate point as I have been quiet on this. Punk leaving to me had less to do with him being unhappy but being unhappy with the product as a whole. Its not like hes been reported as asking for more money or anything, he just went home because he couldnt deal with what was going on anymore. But look at what him leaving does. It shuffles a very lackluster WM card. It lets Bryan get more shine. And it opens up a main event spot for a current roster member. Now if they use that spot to give to someone redundant then it proves Punk right and they do need to change their system. If they move someone new into that spot it shows there is hope for them and he may want to return. Either way he did what he felt was right. I have no qualms with it. Especially since all my favorites go into business for themselves least once im their careers and become bigger stars because of it.

The first caller on that ep was embarrassing, like he wanted to be the spokesman of the "internet wrestling community"

Im guessing the Coli TSC aint the norm when it comes to wrestling boards.

For as much shyt as cats give each other here I'm proud to be amongst some of the minds in TSC. Real talk, yeah a LOT of y'all have weird online accents and can't seem to spell Sting without a K but times are hard and I know new keyboards with a G button aren't high priorities so it's all good. .. Folks like to prod each other but in general TSC'ers are usually logical with their ideas and opinions as opposed to some of the "IWC" guys I've seen who only care about their faves getting pushed regardless of any other factors surrounding the push.

I can see your alternative point of view, but I don't agree. Although, Punk likes to endear himself to people by making claims as being the 'Voice of the Voiceless' or recently claiming the obvious of it being Daniel Bryan's year, to me it all comes off as being disingenuous.

His past actions have shown that he is self serving. I do not believe that had he been in Orton's place as the current champion, and was set to face Batista at WM that he would have said a word about what is currently going on.

If anything Punk leaving put a damper on some of the talk pertaining to D-Bry and the Royal Rumble. That is why I view the timing of him leaving to be interesting.

It is not a stretch to think that Punk was feeling a bit like Nancy Kerrigan in the '94 Winter Olympics after Oksana Baiul finished skating. Point being, I believe that him going home had more to do with him feeling that he would be lost in the shuffle as oppose to caring about the other cards within the deck.

Id believe this if his pops were diminishing but they arent. Its not even like they were fully capitalizing on Daniel Bryan anyway. He wasnt slated to be wrestling for the belt and wasnt even in the rumble. Punk was in a much better position than Bryan. Leaving now wouldnt make much sense.

Now the reports of a HHH match and him finding out he is possibly losing that match which I cant see many ways of that making any sense (quite like the first time) could make him want to leave. But being jealous of Daniel Bryan? Nah him leaving for that makes no sense. He simply got sick of the stupid storylines and percieved nepotism going on currently.

Yes. Punk was still getting a strong reaction, but were they on the level of Bryan's? No! I am not saying that his sole reason for leaving is based on how the crowd reacts to Daniel Bryan, but I do think that it played a significant part. Punk was in the rumble, but don't you think that it says a lot that his elimination was not a talking point?

Is it really a far reach to believe that someone may feel slighted that a persona they tried to build, has been somewhat taken over by someone who can make a better case for it? I mean lets face it, after Punk's lengthy title run he can no longer tap into that well of championing for the 'underdog' and even him going against the authority isn't all that interesting.

The 'E' has always had a mix of good/bad story lines. I just don't believe that Punk leaving has to do with the overall product, but rather his placement on the shelf, so to speak.
