Austin is fully aware that some are fearful of going out on a limb, so they go along just to get along and maintain being gainfully employed. However, what he is saying is right. I have made it no secret that I am not a fan of the Miz, but I do recall it being mentioned that he was able to corner Vince and sell what he had to offer. That eventually lead him to become WWE Champion et cetera.

While Zack Ryder garnered a fan-base and could get the crowd to 'woo-woo-woo' with him, what else did he really have to offer? It's not as if he's a good wrestler. Now don't get me wrong, the treatment of him wasn't fair but him 'getting over' seemed more like a fad as oppose to something that would last.

As for Ziggler, he has unfortunately been hit with a string of bad luck when things seem as if they might work for him. His skill got him over with the fans, but his selling abilities have also been a hindrance.

Zack doesn't have to have anything else to him to be a part of the show at least. There's way too many guys with weekly tv time that the fans can't begin to give a shyt about to have a guy that got himself over not make tv. Fandango and Santino has a "comedy" feud going on now. The epitome of 1 dimensional characters. With no WCW, WWE is free and clear to prove points and carry out agendas they never could have done in 1997.

The Miz became WWE champion because he's Mike from the Real World and was an E list celebrity prior to WWE. He could take the title on Conan and be a "brand ambassador". That's it.

Ziggler situation is clearly Cena related

Certain things I too believe he had a hand in, but aside from that Dolph has unfortunately gotten hurt often.

I agree that they could have found something for Zack to do, even if it was another role as assistant GM.

I'm not referring to the effect of him becoming champion being a 'win-win' situation. At the end of the day, the Miz sold himself to Vince by taking initiative. Lest we forget that before he became WWE champion he had already been in the company for a few years.

Did ya'll hear the Regal episode today? There was a moment during it where they mentioned Steamboat vs. Savage and quickly got off the subject like there was controversy behind it, or something that clouded it, like a Benoit type of thing. I know there were rumors that Savage fukked Stephanie, but I didn't know if that was why or not. Anyone peep that and have any idea?

^ Listened and it was weird how they didn't go into details. Regal said after talking to Ricky his view changed and Austin said that to wrestling fans its viewed as one of the greatest matches but something happened on the 'inside' that basically skewed their view. Hmm...

In any event, I liked Part One of Regal's interview. He gave a history lesson on certain styles of wrestling and I found it enjoyable.

Yeah, exactly. And usually, Austin will pause and clarify for the fans, but the way he said "nuff said", it was clear he wasn't going to do that with this issue, whatever the issue may be.

It was good. Can't wait for part two.

Everybody who listens to Austin's show these days are aware of said rumors and the feeling that the McMahons have some kind of psychological grudge against Savage though. It's not lost on even the lowest of us.

Does Vince have people on stand by ready to kill if someone admits what happened with Savage?

That's what I'm saying. Austin doesn't shy away from any topic, but on this one he was quick to :whoa:

Anybody and everybody who was there dodges that topic or say they don't know what happened. Piper said Savage slapped Vince at a bar in front of everyone, while I think Vince would be pissed, i don't think that could be the ONLY thing that has everyone scared to talk about it.

:what:

I think it was pretty obvious Regal was talking about how his perception of the match changed once he talk to Ricky. Why? Well, because Savage liked to prepared for his matches very carefully. In the case of the Mania III match, it's kinda of a known fact that the Savage vs Steamboat match was pre planed almost move for move. So when Regal says his perception changed, he's talking about how the awesomeness of that match didn't come from 2 talented guys calling it in the ring, but 2 guys thinking very hard about what they were going to do weeks in advance.

For guys like Regal and Austin, being spontaneous is key to work a match. So knowing such a masterpiece wasn't done almost "on the fly", takes away from their enjoyment.

Nah..that's bullshyt. Everyone knows Macho plans out his matches...Hogan talks about it alot. Being a perfectionist wouldn't be a mark from Austin....he's been carried before so that shyt doesn't ride.

I believe @Jmare007 is right but if anyone has any other theories about what could have happened between Ricky and Randy that mars this match, I'd be curious to read them.

I don't think this has anything to do with Stephanie cause why would that relate to this specific match?
