There's no doubt that conservative extremism in America was a factor in the Australian election from the weekend, but it's folly to argue it was the only factor.
- Campaign strategy from Liberal Party was disastrous (young campaign team was brutalised and out of touch with the broader population).
- A proposed nuclear energy rollout at 500 billion was by and far the biggest factor. Most voters are simpletons, seeing nuclear and costs together was a severe oversight from the conservative party, particularly in an era where global warming and disaster become increasingly more front of mind.
- Labor campaign grew in confidence as the months ticked over, whereas Conservative Party grew desperate and reactionary.
- Any momentum from the Conservative Party was quelled by local/global events, resets again and again.
- Misinformation and sloganism (most often associated with conservative strategy and outlets) was quelled and at times even matched by Labor.
- Opposition leader is/was extremely unlikeable and non relatable.
