This is how all these industrialized countries plan to meeting their Paris Accord goals? Just dump their trash onto other people?
I dont think paris accord categorizes trash as emission, i could be wrong.

In any case, The futility of the agreement is evident in the continued destruction of our planet. In the years since the agreement was signed, global carbon emissions have risen by approximately 4 percent. And over the past year, emissions from all fossil fuel sources increased: coal emissions increased 1 percent, oil by 1.7 percent and gas by 3 percent. We haven’t even reached the peak in carbon emissions.

Plastic is evil. It seems like every 6 months I hear a new scandal about a different way that plastic products are poisoning us. Most of this crap isn't even seriously studied - decades from now we're going to find out that all sorts of disorders and deficiencies are tied to all the wild chemicals we're getting into our system from this shyt.

Kids gotta eat everyday. That need is immediate. Don’t have the luxury to be worrying about rising sea levels in the next 50 years.

I think plastic is an incredible material. It's so versatile and so strong and durable. The problem is we use it totally wrong. It shouldn't be treated as a disposable item, things built out of plastic should be built to last like car interiors, electronic devices, furniture, things like that which are expected to hold up for decades if well maintained. Our culture of using plastic is what's evil, not the material itself which is an amazing invention

I mean, of course a physical object can't be literally evil. But I don't think you can separate plastic from its easy disposability. And plastic is associated with chemicals that leach out into the environment in ways that the vast majority of woods, metals, and glasses never are.
