Money is 100% the issue among most millennials. We’re poorer than the generations that came before us post WW2, stagnant wages and an awful social safety net doesn’t help anything either.

suggesting money isn’t an issue in the US compared countries that for one thing actually gives their citizens healthcare is crazy. If we had guaranteed healthcare here like other first world countries people might be more inclined to have kids
The cost of healthcare is a huge factor. Also the cost of daycare. Which is understandable to a point becuz daycare providers gotta eat too. That’s really the biggest expense with kids unless they have health issues. Outside of that kids ain’t really that expensive especially when they are potty trained

Some people out here paying 1k a month for day care for one child tho
:picard:

That enough to make a lot of people think twice about kids

Part in bold is the tell of what you're really mad about. The hatred of women on this site always makes me laugh
Mad??? I'm just stating a fact. Women have more autonomy in the west. If money was the issue why is poor ass countries like Colombia having whole churches full of kids? Poverty is a state of mind. Compared to people in the developing world no american is broke.

The answer is a lot of women feel like the lady in the "I hate being a mom" thread and they think they're missing out by raising kids.

On my Facebook right now a chick that I know is "broke" has her and her girls chilling on a yacht in Miami. She doesn't have kids.

Right, and you need two household incomes due to wages being stagnant and the cost of living skyrocketing. So that stay at home parent shyt is out the window. People really don't get how this shyt is all tied together and how the consequences branch out into other parts of ur life.

There's a biological reason for menopause. That is because they're can be grandmothers.

One of the main drivers of inflation is the demand for stuff. You know the shyt that "liberals" claim is destroying the environment.

I remember years back a dude called "Mr. Money Mustashe" was calling people "car Clowns" Most people drive a car less than an hour a day and it sits in a garage sucking money. When homie said that I thought he was crazy, but I don't have a car now and don't feel deprived at all.

Get rid of excess stuff and you need less money.

Why can't they? what are they doing now? Don't they complain about not seeing their grandkids often enough?
They don’t want to. A lot of grandparents still work and then they are often asked to babysit on weekends when the parents wanna go out. Then I look at somebody like my mother who is retired but pre covid she was going out doing shyt everyday. She wouldn’t wanna be tied down to watching kids all day Mon-Fri

I just see nonsense and nothing from any cited sources in this terrible post. You keep comparing America to non 1st world countries as if you think you're making some kind of valid point. It's just garbage.

You sound like a conservative boot licker. Can't wait for the "Pull yourself up by the bootstraps" speech long post here telling us how hard you work and how everyone should be just like you

I posted an article from the newspaper of record are you telling me that the writers of the article are making a case against feminism?

Way before any "ism" Machiavelli wrote about the decline of Rome and other countries talking about the lack of Virtue basically he meant Decadence and it happens to all societies as they become successful. If you said it's corny to put the blame solely on feminism you might have a point but female choice is a factor.

I'd like to hear a discourse from @Booksnrain on this.

The census isn't a reliable source? According to the census there's 331 million people in the US. That's a lot but it's also the slowest rise in 100 years.
