I think that's the only way to do it. There will be some levity in it though because it's a marvel flick but it has to be the right balance for the character. You can't just fit him, or any character really, in that Iron man mode. It's also going to depend on how he's approached in civil war. That will determine the tone of his movie
:patrice: not necessarily, if you peeped Thor in the avenger flicks you would think he'd be this charismatic lead in his own movies. But he has the personality of a rock in them. As civil war is basically an ensemble his portrayal in that won't be indicative of anything

I bet they go with the tone of the Thor movies where it is not jokey jokey or overly sarcastic but mostly light in tone with T'Challa being the straight man and his supporting cast getting the joke lines.

if these rumors are true :ld: this womans first legit movie is the only film in cinematic history to shed light on the selma march or MLK even. To go from that to direct a comic book movie (when you have openly admitted to being a noob to the genre) is kind of like saying offers are slim so I got to eat this way, which is sad

Besides the emphasis on a "black" director for this is kinda of lame to me, it's more important to have a black co/writer more than anything

Going to be hard to make it in the tone of TWS given the fantasically element to panther. They were able to do that with cap due to the political and militarial aspects of the story. No way marvel are going to take a dark serious tone when a story involves magic and an advanced africa

BP's story can have the political aspects as well, dude is a head of state. In fact, I think political aspects are practically guaranteed in his story, moreso that TWS.

tribe politics might seem foreign and won't resonate with cacs tho. Magic with camp + tongue and cheek will, sadly
