It was a long shot getting her anyway I figured they have some creative differences before talks got any more serious. That said they've got enough time to pick the right director question is who ? Antoine Fuqoa would be good but he's busy plus he has more clout than DuVernay.
I actually think he has less clout for real. That's not a diss to him but as of right now she's the hotter of the two and coming off an Oscar nominated flick

I want the best director for the job. I honestly don't care about the race or gender. Anyone but that Blomkamp Chapple gave me some off putting vibes about that dude
I feel like she's the most high profile of the directors they've talked to which is why her name got out.

I'm not so sure his last movie was a huge hit and he's a proven that he can make successful films. While she has a oscar nomination she still only has one film to her name.

Fuqua has more clout in terms of what he has done already and how much control he has in his films.
He has two $100 million+ flicks under his belt.
Has been handed a potential franchise in The Magnificent Seven reboot.
And Southpaw is one of the buzziest flicks of 2015 with Jake Gyllenhall and the movie itself being talked about as locks for Oscar noms.
All good points but why would marvel let him do what he wants when they don't let anyone else do what they want entirely?
