I hope he isn't lying because it will undermine his activism in both the Lgbtq and black community. It will also make things harder for future victims of hate crimes. If he is, he deserves to go down

CPD are a police dept for one so I have 1000 reasons to be wary. Also CPD is comprised of all Human beings, even at our very best, Humans are flawed.
Here's where having common sense kicks in
The story sounds like bullshyt
AND
CPD can't find any truth to it
Once you have both things going, your intuition and common sense should accept the conclusion.
So its not that I like or trust CPD. But their investigation along with my own thought experiments lead me to the truth
The whole reason that there is a.word "evidence" is cause people LIE. And some are just mistaken.
So people began to look for EVIDENCE back up people's words.
