They are really about to DC this shyt. IW took a decade to build, with TV and other mediums too... Hell, they JUST got Spidey, 1 movie or 2 before or that entire arc wouldn't even have been a thing......

Now they want to run it back with characters nobody still cares about, with a new villian nobody built up, and make us care about either of them like IW??? Good fukking luck with that

They better lean into going a totally other way cause they will need more than RDJ to pull this off

the power of the retcon. (hence RDJ, his past and his past decisions. his relationship with peter, steve)
thanos' screen time was probably 10 mins before IW. RDJ has appeared in something like 10 films.
thanos wasn't even thanos proper (actor, voice, visuals) for much of the early films.
civil war and soldier (both top 8) had unheralded villains.
a compelling villain can be done in one film ... here we have at least 3 to do it.
