@Thavoiceofthevoiceless So was Brie Larson our era's blonde white woman version of chance the rapper?

Never heard of her until 2019 but after she won whatever award (or nomination?) that put her on the map, her career kinda peaked with a mid Captain Marvel movie, an awkward girl power moment in End Game, and i guess wearing a tank top in a King Kong flick. Her acting chops were questioned but tbf ppl acknowledged the roles were trash.

Well 8 years later, she's now 35 and best known for being the 11th billed character in a Fast n Furious flick. Was she supposed to be the young goat? The actor's actor? The not as attractive but more skilled Margott Robbie? What happened

Deadpool is a walking talking tonal shift. i can't imagine him finally meeting the main heroes is gonna be anything but sloppy. i like the quips, i need levity in these movies, i thought F4 kinda sucked b/c they toned that shyt down way too much, but i can't imagine Doomsday being a laugh riot to the point any Deadpool conversation is gonna work
I appreciated that they didn't make it goofy. They already tried that back in 2005
All these serious movies yall complain about are usually the most critically acclaimed.
Not because comedy is bad. but because whenever they try to make stuff funny they simultaneously are incapable of also taking the story serious. And pride themselves on it too. Hear so many trash directors saying they didn't want to take themselves too serious.

Classic comedies back in the day took themselves serious. Even had sociopolitical messages they were trying to explain. Trading Places was a commentary on class dynamics. How the upper class views themselves superior simply for being wealthy.
Comedies these days are about fart jokes, and sight gags.

I thought the tone clashed with the entire aesthetic of the world they created. You can tell they chopped 75% of the "fun" out on the movie.

You can't compare piff like Civil War and Infinity War to this bloated monstrosity. James Gunn had more influence on the Infinity Saga than people want to admit. Every non-Marvel Russo movie is straight dookie water.

Nice deflection...when I clearly said Russos- Marvel movie

You mentioned non Marvel movie

Whoever fought allegedly filming is being rearranged so that they won't be in the same space again. Same pages also claiming the first 45 min have been leaked so make of that what you will. :yeshrug:
