They are alternate reality Fox-Men.

Same actors just now more comic accurate, like what we saw with the Wolverine in Deadpool and Wolverine.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for them to be the originals because the original fox-men continuity was not consistent and contradicted itself.

The multiverse aspect allows them to create a new MCU Fox-Men universe. That’s why you have Cyclops in a comic accurate costume and giant comic accurate sentinels.

I read somewhere u should just look at the fox x-men universe now as a branched timeline from the ending of days of future past. That makes the most sense to me.
