Is she ADOS or she's a Roland Martin?
Roland Martin lineage is Houston but he's not ADOS.
Honestly outside of "claiming" ability after 2-3 generations at most in America, regardless if your ancestors were American slaves or not do not matter as far as your experience as a black, especially black male in the United States.
You think a black man who great grand parents were Jamaican is getting treated any different or living any different life than most black Americans? Probably not. They have fully assimilated and are equally part of the system that all black individuals live under in the United States.
2-3 generations may be too generous. I'm willing to state it's only 1. They are equally getting discriminated for jobs or opportunities as much as the next black person. It's really an unnecessary divisive distinction except for technical purposes like say, reparations distribution.
Most of the beef you seem to have is with FOB African immigrants or closer to it.
Roland Martin was as you said born in Houston. But regardless of your agreement of his politics, he has lived 50+years as a black man in America. To say he doesn't have claim to the black American experience is a stretch.
Italians and Irish used to fight like hell and get unified whenever black folk came around trying to buy a house in the neighborhood, I hope you keep that kind of talk to black spaces only.
