I agree with the OP. I don't believe the next gen is here at all. I don't know man, maybe if we see some serious next gen games come out but right now everything seems rushed. I haven't seen anything that cannot be reproduced (low-res) on the current gen systems (360, PS3). Hell half of the games that are coming out are still good on the current gen. I'm just not seeing the reason right now to make the jump.

Yeah FPS and that Infamous with its awful art design and AI are not what I thought of when I heard next gen.

I'd take less graphical output over truly dynamic, semantic worlds with an immersive and divergent gameplay experience. But then, consumers are idiots and devs pander to them.

Give it time. I remember during the first early years of the 360, the games didn't look all that great from OG Xbox games and people were throwing "Xbox 1.5" every chance they got. Then Gears of War came out and has heads turning had people going "Yo this would be impossible on the OG Xbox."

Maybe this years E3 will have a game that will turn heads just like Gears did back in 06.

I was a nintendo fan when i was a kid but i grew up outta that shyt, im 33 years old why the fukk do i want to play a child's gaming system, there's no variety in their titles and 50% of it is shovelware.

The PS4 and by extension (sigh*) xbox one is gonna continue to eat...

You already know that nintendo is in dire straits in japan for the future right, There's only so many reiterations of the same fukking handheld system and pokemon games you can sell... What happens when everyone gets bored of the shyt? What happens when Sony takes over nintendo over there?

I've never even heard of nintendo developing a next gen successor to even compete with the other big dogs. It's like having a souped up civic... yeah it's nice and all but compared to a Viper (xbox), and a GT-R(Sony)... Your car is still.... a civic.

Also to add... Our games library is gonna be filled with games even you nintendo guys wanna play The Evil Within is up next... it's just getting started mayn...

Recent previews of The Evil Within brought my hype down significantly. Everyone who saw that game at PAX said it was garbage. Even survival horror fans said they had a look of when they finished watching the demo.

I actually sold my Ps4 today, nothing impressed me so far and nothing to look forward for which is imminent. Only reason I still have my Xbone is Killer instinct and I consider that barely to be next gen, although I still play it and love it. And as far as the Wii u goes I bought it randomly around new years and I've played the 2 mario games twice and DK recently is getting lots of play with the wife, can't wait for MK8 the 4 player split screen on my 65 inch will be out of this world.

So yea, pure gameplay the Wii U is far ahead, in this household at least.
