I think it’s being massively overblown because it makes a better story to say that upset Rockets fans shut her shyt down.

Houston is a city full of transplants, plenty of people who don’t care at all about the Rockets to give her business.

There’s no proof that this happened.
Its not the 100% reason they closed but it definitely played a big part no doubt. Yes there's a big transplant population in Houston but that Warriors/Rockets were huge in the city and she announced her restaurant immediately after and got a ton of backlash and negative feedback which is damn near a death sentence for a restuarant/new business that's about to open. Ain't enough transplants in Houston for her restaurant to get by in this climate. You have to have the natives on board breh

The restaurant scene is crazy competitive. You gotta have a tex mex or a texas bbq joint to succeed. By texas BBQ I mean that crazy peppered beef with onions, jalapenos and pickles no sauce at all.

One thing tho them folks in Houston are fat as hell. If they not eating your food something wrong.

Rockets ain’t even a team to be standing like that. Outside of those 2 years Hakeem won them a ring the Houston bottle rockets have nothing to their name.

Spamming and leaving negative comments of the wife's restaurant because her husband played against your favorite team and won?? :dahell:
Imagine if there was an entire message board dedicated to that

:camby: Trying to tell us Texans what good bbq is....from California :beli:
This. Barbeque is literally somethings Texans do EXCEPTIONALLY well. That bytch was a moron for thinking she would come from oakland and open a successful barbeque spot IN HOUSTON. My cousin could probably out-barbeque all the cacs she would have imported to cook that slop.

Good riddance.

i've eaten there, it's decent enough to be able to stay open especially considering it's in a great location in city centre/memorial city area. surprised it closed.

Her restaurant closing had nothing to do with fans trolling. 5 years ago it likely would have been more successful but the BBQ scene in Houston has exploded the past few years so if people want bbq there are a number of places they'd for some real Texas BBQ go before hitting up place like International Smoke. I went once food was ok but nothing to write home about. Houston was just a bad market for that type of restaurant.
