NFL. Playing the best and every game is meaningful. NBA is just fishing for highlights and the disparity is atrocious. 30 or so meaningless games.

My thing with football is that there's a wide range of time when nothing happens. I mean 2 run plays, 1 pass, then punt. Ball switches teams and rinse and repeat. Then you might see a fumble, interception, a sack, or some spectacular catch here and there.

Now that I'm typing that I'm realizing basketball is kinda the same way. But at least in basketball you only got 24 seconds to do something with the ball. So it's considerably more fast paced. Which appeals to my short attention span.

But, I'll admit I played both in school and the football games were more fun to be in, but I enjoyed basketball more then.
