ayo...why does it seem like black frats and sororities are more gang-like than distinguished orgs?

is it just me or do they seem like they are crips and bloods compared to say other distinguished organization for betterment of its members and people.

These guys are always or atleast always try to appear tough and intimidating and quick to resort to violence in defense of their set.

You really dont see that with frats and sororities from "other" groups...i remember in college wondering about this.
Even the folks that they recruit are always the socially cool types as opposed to the ones that are really on the educated and bright future ahead types.

anyone here part of a black frat/sorority that can help me understand?

no doubt about it..i wasnt saying that.

ITs just the atmosphere of it, the swag that they carry compared to other groups of frats out there..



In my alma mater you see the calibre of folks that they let in and it was always the dumb thug types(especially the frats) of folks that you know undergrad wasthe most they'll ever do...
its the same dudes that are 10 years out of college working ups and still doing the "owt" choreographed dances etc like they are still in college. Its just uh..off...comapred to other stuff.

Funny.. you aren't alone in this observation. I give zero fukks or "respect" about them though and they all pretty much knew not to try the "tough college kid frat guy" role with me (i was a little older in my college years than the average college kid too so Im sure that helped me out alot).

The shyt used to piss me off though. Watching them drunk on club nights bullying and or jumping cats and just acting overall like a "clique".

It's the basically the generation shift. Instead of recruiting the top of the line educated brother as they would've years ago, they basically want the popular kids now.

I think there's always been some funny(no pun intended) shyt with their recruiting. It's no coincidence that each frat can be PHYSICALLY categorized and you'd be spot on.
AKAs are lightsking, KAPPAS are usually the 'pretty boys', etc etc
