AZ could rap his a s s off, but he never got that push

on Illmatic he was more lyrical with his rhyme scheme than Nas in my humble opinion

not taking away from Nas, they were both top notch lyricist

I've been a fan of AZ for years

But really he's both under and overrated.

He bodied Nas on Life's a Bytch, really showed off his lyrical skill. That pretty much cemented him in hip hop history.

His catalogue is cool, but a lot of meh tracks. While he can rhyme with the best in the game and has a solid flow, but he rarely strays from it so his music all kinda sounds the same.

Don't rate him as highly as I once did. Doe or Die 2 was cool, but I expected much more. His followup was aight. Nothing too crazy.
