How come these two have never traded bars on the same song? Ive always wondered why its shame that they haven't.

True, they well could have, cause I think AZ respects Jay, some things just never come to fruition even if people are cool.

oceans, heaven, devil is a lie verse, no church in the wild,we made it verse, are all better than we movin

Oh, I see you've done that, none of those are better than We Movin lyrically, don't even come close.

Edit: I liked Jay's verse on We Made It though, thought that was dope, but the others don't come close even, every song on the last album We Movin slaughters.

There are times where AZ's flow sounds just like Jay-Z's flow.
Most of this is after his first album which makes it kinda funny to see this thread
pop up.
With that said if we're going by album work, I've got Jay-Z over AZ, easily.

at the start of the race it was az by way of life's a bytch and doe or die, then jigga one upped him with reasonable doubt but to me that jay's finest hour. after that jay was too inconsistent while az remained consistent with better albums imo even though record sales say otherwise. but if it's based solely on lyrics, az wins this.

I mess wit both of these cats but I would have to go with Jay-Z. Like somebody else said AZ has tried to sound like Jay-Z. That 9 Lives album had Sigel, Foxy and I think Amil and his flow was real similar to Jay. But don't get me wrong AZ is prolly the most underrated MC of all-time at least top 3 most underrated. A lot of y'all cats chink up Jay because his last few albums have been subpar but that doesn't erase all the quality work he put in. And honestly AZ has dropped some duds wit his last 2 or 3 albums too.
