B.G. Chopper City in the Ghetto turns 20 tommorow

I also feel that BG is very underrated and underappreciated as far as rap legends in Hip-Hop. Juvenile too. I know the south was bubblin around then but Cash Money really blew the doors off and took the South to a whole another level of Mainstream exposure. They ended No Limit's reign pretty swiftly.

Mannie Fresh deserve more love too.

I listen to Life or Death or The Shocker and think it's clear NL. Then I throw on this album or 400 Degreez or I Got That Work and think exactly the opposite.

This was BG’s last good project IMO.

I don’t really revisit it like I do his other albums, but it has a lot of good songs.

I think Checkmate was his last good album but it isn't better than Chopper City in the Ghetto but still solid album.

classic album. Frfr. BG cleaned up and put the label on his back. Juve sealed.the deal, but BG was the foundation. Facts.

Which is crazy cause this was suppose to be the 1st release once they got the deal with Universal (The cover for How u luv that kinda hinted that with the chopper city cover in the back) but Geezy got locked up so they dropped 400 Degreez which was divine intervention of some sort cause that setup BG to come back and kill it....I wholeheartedly agree tho BG was the foundation

'Made Man' might very well be my favorite Cash Money song, and that's saying something. Even Birdman laced that track. I remember finding this album in a used bin at my local CD store. I was unfamiliar with Cash Money, and this was my introduction to them, so I'll always have a soft spot for this album.

This shyt made me a CMR/Mannie/BG believer. The Cash Money Is An Army video. Made Man and Fn With Tha BG back to back. Thug'n, Cash Money Roll, Bout My Paper. Three absolute monster cuts at the end

I know CMR was famous for the bounce joints but Hard Times might be the best Cash Money record. That shyt he was saying was just too real.

I honestly feel they got their best work from B.G. prior to going mainstream. B.G. was really carrying that label.
