At least in the movie it DID implied Dre set him up. Everything in that was true except the alleged beat down. Which I dunno why that not a stretch considering how Suge rolled at the time.
But AGAIN like in the movie and DIRECTLY from Heller's own mouth, Heller convinced Eazy NOT to kill Suge and regretted making that suggestion ever since.
Don't forget that DID put that in the film of wanting to kill Suge.

And though it's not a stretch considering how Suge rolled, you're right. Then again, Eazy was good anywhere in LA, can't see a physical confrontation ending peacefully in a courtroom. Tomika's word on ANYTHING means nothing.

that's always been the story, he went to court about it stating that they used "duress" and "Menace" to get Dre out of the contract. that's basically coming from Eazy's own mouth so why don't you believe it

You don't pull guns on someone, especially someone that's been in the life, and not expect retaliation. Jerry stopped it, as he says, but you can't threaten loved ones and pull out guns and expect E to brush it off. Suge took it "there" and E was willing to oblige.
Doesn't necessarily mean it got physical. If that were the case, I don't see him going to Jerry for any reason at all....
With that said, how is the movie gonna conveniently leave out the FACT that Eazy won in the courtroom and profited off of everything Dr. Dre did... This was the Tomika, Cube, Dre story, NOT an Eazy biopic. Cube said it himself he wasn't going to sign on for an Eazy film.

it's pretty safe to say knowing Suge's background, that they at least threw some punches and from Heller himself he had to talk Eazy down from going to kill Suge.
Story was never Easy E got beat down. It was always he was threatened and when that didn't work they told him that had Jerry Heller kidnapped and showed him pictures of his moms house.
If Suge and them beat down Eazy E, Suge and them dudes would have been dead. At the time their power in the streets weren't at all the same. Eazy E held mad weight. Suge didn't. He had some Piru Goons with him but he wasn't a factor yet. This was before he had any money.
You really think Suge just POLITELY asked Eazy to released those contracts? It was from threatened intimidation. It's VERY believable that Suge's goons beaten up Eazy.
And again Jerry Heller stated HIMSELF that he's was the one responsible for convincing Eazy not to kill Suge.

you guys are right, i guess i'm putting my own spin on it thinking back about Suge's legend
So you rather want to believe the story of Eazy going out like a bytch because he's scared for his life and his mama than standing his ground and fought and STILL didn't release the contracts to which got Iovine involved which was the movie version.
If what ACTUALLY happened was true, then Eazy went out like Vanilla Ice rather than fought back.

Breh, if Eazy would have been fvcked up in that hotel room, you think he's going over to Jerry Heller basically asking his opinion on killing Suge? Suge woulda been a dead man. Basically EVERYBODY that knew Eazy verifies his concrete LA street credibility. If it was anybody else in that room, instead of Eazy, that n!gga woulda been fvcked up and probably forced to drink piss.
