Yea this only gets better with every listen. Short and concise. He's got a knack for Kendricks ability to come up with catchy hooks and melodies. It's prolly why Kendrick took a liking to him.

Don't really like the voice cracking shyt he does sometimes. Trying too hard to sound like Kendrick. He's better off just using his regular voice. But I think keem is always gonna be an artist that needs a writing team around him. Don't think he'll ever be a great lyricist or songwriter on his own. But he's got natural musical talent and the ability to get hooks and flows stuck in your head. Which is probably the most valuable skill to have in this game. This is just a very enjoyable and easy listen all the way through. Solid 8/10.

He took a liking to him because that's his cousin, otherwise he'd probably be working at Best Buy with the Geek Squad :russ:

Nah Kendrick said he has thousands of cousins and homies trying to be rappers and get put on. But keem is the only one who showed serious promise. Keem obviously has a natural talent for melody. That's the main thing 99% of rappers don't have. The understanding of rhythm and how to actually ride a beat the same way a great singer would. It's a rare ability to have.

The issue I have with him is the same thing I had against Kendrick when I 1st heard him. It took a while to get used to his voice. Otherwise, I agree, he's not bad, he makes good songs but he's several steps below Kendrick IMO.

Nah he'll never be Kendrick. He'll always be a just solid entertaining song maker. But he'll never be elite on that level. He uses writers on pretty much every song. If anything he'll be more in the Kanye lane rather than Kendrick. Producer/artist who's always gonna need help with the pen.

One thing Keem has an advantage over Kendrick is he can harmonious better than him. I agree with the Kanye lane.

Breh, the production on this is too crazy. This some lock yourself in the stu and search random shyt or dig in the crates type ish. That No security sample I really thought was a dude he sampled. James Blake or some country singer from the 60’s or 70’s. That had to listen to at least half that track to catch those loops. Simple to make but very effective especially when it goes perfectly with the lyrics and what you’re trying to convey (and the vibe). The intro and the second track. Those two songs I call them both the intro because they could have easily made it one track with a beat switch, but either way they both set the tone of the album perfectly. Perfect match between ok this is serious, and I’m a pop my shyt. Together they show his range as well.
Good Flirts sample may have been used on one of them old tde leaks from some years ago. I forgot which song it was but it sounds mad similar.

Definitely a solid album from Keem.

He gave you a couple of Gym/whip tracks, a couple of vibe, poppy records, and gave a couple of introspection joints.

Album was pretty balanced overall.

I was able to get the missing track and they really should have added it to the digital release. With how short the album is, I think it's important to have as many of the tracks on the album be as quality as possible. And that is something I think they did for the most part, but when you have a miss like Dramatic Girl, Tubi would have made up for it for overall album quality.

I like Tubi but Dramatic Girl is better imo
