It’s cool. 7/10 off first listen. Nothing too crazy (some of the production is though). Melodic Blue is definitely better. Actually (again it’s just off first listen) this is his worst project to date. Doesn’t mean it’s bad but it is his worst.

I noticed Keem’s fun, out of control, funny character is slowly fading away in the attempt to be taken more serious as a serious rapper maybe? Or maybe just to show he has range, like there’s more to him than just having two phones and having on and off moments with his bytch (he did say on TMB he was going to tell his story of his unfortunate life). Or maybe he’s just more mature, growing up and it reflects in the music. Or maybe Kendrick’s influence is changing his subject matter (he obviously writes plenty of his shyt to). Sound of bad habits, and die for my bytch keem was a funny menace yn. Some may argue he’s still that in his music, ok but imo not like before. It started with melodic blue (an album I love btw, especially the bonus tracks). His music is definitely more polished though.

Edit: Highway 95 pt.2 is heat. He kind of took Tanna Leone’s With the Villains flow on it though.

No Security, Casino, Circus Circus Freestyle is :wow:

Album is fire :wow:

He sounds grown now. None of that baby voice shyt. I dunno if Kendrick still writing for him...but these lyrics feel a lot more personal and introspective.

Production is A1.

It sounds like an improvement from the last album, which while I liked, it was just too all over the place. This is way more focused but still has that eclecticism. Definitely sounds like there's some hits on here.

That’s not even a diss :mjlol:

Definitely not a dis, but Kendrick knew what he was doing just mentioning his name considering the history. He also knows how the masses would interpret it. Just a lil seasoning.

Thug deserves way more than that considering he actually dissed Keem in those jail convos.
