This isn't possible to pick.

I can say one thing, Teddy Riley comes in 3rd.
But that's not a slight, it's just that he didn't have longevity. Face and JJ/TL are still making music today.
But damn Teddy Riley did that whole MJ "Dangerous" album.

I'mma need @Taadow to chime in on this chit.

No disrespect patna, but don't summon me in this kinda thread.

I have a great respect and admiration for all of the parties mentioned, and I don't understand
why people have to choose who is better than who among them. Why can't we just appreciate
all of their contributions? (rhetorical)

That Minneapolis Sound is my heart but all these brothers make the kind of music where you know who it is soon as you hear the 1st bars/downbeat :salute:

Babyface... LA deserves no credit. Soon as Kenny left LA, LA didnt have a single credit since. :sas2:

I appreciate Teddy Riley for discovering The Neptunes.

Putting them against each other off top shows that there is great appreciation, respect & admiration for all parties involved.
Debating your opinion on who's better is just part of the game breh:manny:. You have to understand the need to choose, because we do it with rappers, albums, & athletes all the time on here.

I respect your prerogative to not choose though also.

That sounds good in theory...but that theory goes out the window when you have to discredit one entity to show support for the other,
and that happens more often than not.

What game? lol

You have to understand the need to choose,

No I don't.

because we do it with rappers, albums, & athletes all the time on here.

...and I don't get it most of the time. But whatever...

Yeah... a lot of times that's how you can tell who was really producing all those hits. One guy keeps on making hits while the other guy either disappears or becomes a "Executive" and wants to hire people to make hits for him.

I think its between Jam and Lewis and Babyface. Just crazy how much both had their hands in damn near every hit in the late 80s/early 90s. I didn't even realize how much back then. Between those 4 people, they damn near controlled popular black music.

There's no wrong choice but for me Jam and Lewis and Babyface LA were neck and neck but I gave a slight edge to Jam and Lewis. Both of their works aged extremely well and still sound excellent.
