Flacco isn't near elite in talent or performance. He played really well for four playoff games last year on a veteran well-coached team that had a pretty good receiving corps, an elite running game, an elite o-line, and an above average defense that caught lightning in a bottle late.What makes a player elite IYO?
IMO if you carry your team to a superbowl youre elite but maybe thats just me

He played beyond his usual performance in those games last year. He wasn't even in the top 10 in passer rating last year. He was paid as if those 4 games were his normal standard and there's reason to believe he would maintain that level going forward, of which I certainly wouldn't conclude.
There's 5 years of data that would indicate otherwise.
Meanwhile, if you took Brees off the Saints or Rodgers off the Packers and replaced them with average QB'S, you'd be looking at sub-0.500 teams.
