It doesn't matter. If their record labels didn't submit the songs to the Grammy Academy or whatever the voting panel is called, the song won't be nominated. The Grammys is an industry award. Always has been. It maintains to be an award of artistic excellence and achievement, but that excellence and achievement is still based on what other artists and executives in the industry think.
