Cole's fans aren't hip hop fans. Same as Kendrick's. Which is why they'll do numbers and hip hop heads won't give two fukks. Neither of these dudes are influencing the sound nor taking it to a new place. In fact, they (in particular Ducktales McSqueaky) have to co-opt the current sound to water it down further. Cole and Kendrick are selling to casuals and complete outsiders.

Cole and Kendrick are selling to old school fans that actually buy music and casuals by way of the media push (mainly Kendrick on this one). The shyt in the mainstream isn't hip-hop, and no real hip-hop head is fukking with too much outside of Cole, Kendrick and to a lesser extent Logic and the occasional Drake when the occasion calls for it.

Love Cole.... But that last album/ep was my least favorite of all his projects. But from the features I've heard him on latell. I'm expecting this next project to be flames
