Always ask your professors for help if they are willing to help you. Or if there are study labs go there if you need to. Try to really invest in your school work as if it was a job you liked. Going to parties and events is fine, but don't let it consume your life. Balancing your time and setting time schedules for studying is key. Gotta be diligent.

Sacrifice(your social life mostly), study, talk to professors(you'll stand out from most students just getting by), and make sure that you're so on top of your business that you'll have the free time to do what you want to cool down.

Good luck. I go back next week myself.

Take your time. Unless your scholarship requires a full load, don't be afraid to go part time or 3/4 time. Ain't shyt out here for you to be rushing towards.

Don't let your work pile up. The stress isn't worth it.
Get decent hours of sleep and surround yourself with people who want to do better than you.
My biggest regret is not getting to know my professors. Lost out on glowing references cus I was too proud :snoop:

1) You're paying out the ass to LEARN. Take care of business first then have fun.

If you come off as a cool kid make friends with the nerdy kids in ur classes who you can tell don't have many friends and use them as needed when ur stuck with homework or cramming for a test. They'll appreciate the company and you'll get an expert (if you picked the right guy) to help you out.

2) start looking for internships from day one. There might not be job postings but if you wanna work at a certain department for a certain company, Google the people that matter and start asking them if you can shadow them. Domt come off as thirsty. At the end of the day you're at school to get a job, so once ur passing classes to your adequate standard, work on gaining relevant work experience.

3) Instant way to gain social capital on campus is to join a sports team. Girls love athletes. If you're not the fit type, don't worry do your thing and join other clubs with a healthy female population, where you can use ur strengths to stand out (debate club, student government, etc.)

4) Don't lose sight of what's important. Graduating > getting relevant work experience > social capital.

Ask tons of questions to your professors and other staff

Briefly go over what you have learned each day, this does not include your study time.

Ask for help immediately don't wait until a week or days before the test to figure shyt out.

Get a study buddy or study group because sometimes it's easier to understand your classmates explanation versus your teachers

Don't spend all your time chasing p*ssy

Get cool with somebody in your classes that's on their shyt too. Professors won't always have the time to give you extra assistance.

How many hours of sleep would you recommend?
