Bad Boys 3 one step closer to actually happening

Nobody likes Back to the Future 3 but they sure love part 1 and part 2....see my point?

Scream Trilogy. Scream first is a def classic, Screamn 2 is good but Scream 3 is worst....IMO, they should have stopped at Scream first.

Spider Man played by Tobey...everybody loves part 1, part 2 but hate part 3.....see my point?

Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy.....they love part 1, part 2 but part 3 was okay.

Alien, Aliens, Alien 3.......see my point?

The Evil Dead Trilogy

The Original Star Wars Trilogy ....first two are def better than the 3rd one.


IMO.....Indiana Jones, Lethal Weapon were able to pulled it off cause it wasn't meant to be planned stories as "One"

Original Star Wars Trilogy and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy are def classic and no question about it.....they're just perfect because they were meant to be "One" as the planned.

But anyway yeah 3s are hard to pull off but not impossible. To me it's easier when you have either one story you're telling or you inject something new into the franchise. And normally a new director and new writer helps

Yeah studios sit on #1 blockbuster franchises until they get the idea from 20 internet posters to do another sequel

Because we all know the people whose job it is to squeeze every dollar out of our pockets couldn't put that one together without the coli posters

I feel the same way..didnt like it as a kid love it now and kinda don't like 2 as much because I see more flaws in it

And nah homie lol it's not that serious for me to do the whole thread about it. I'm sure someone else will one of these days and it's just anecdotal evidence. I've heard more people as the years have gone on give more light to part 3 and kinda dismiss part 2..including the director and writers but either way your overall point is well taken and right: Part 3s are tough to do

Michael Bay spoke on it himself a few years back. Basically the studios at the TIME didn't want to pay Both his and Will's salaries, the studios were losing a lot of money and that's what the hold up on Rush Hour 4 was as well, the studio didn't want to pay Chris Tucker 20 million and then pay Jackie Chan on the back-end. Studios wanted to put money into CGI effects driven franchise movies (like Transformers) and pay the actors and directors as less as possible

He gets hate because two of his 4 Transformers movies were downright TERRIBLE and that raped a lot of people's childhoods...

Other than that I'd dare to say his filmography is solid. He never set out to be Scorsese or Terrence Malik. He's a blockbuster director who does just that.

I am tired of saying how I enjoy those movies and all the comic book movies, I will never get the negative criticism Ever.. the hundreds of millions of people that still go see these movies after the 4th installment shows that the people that don't like them are in the minority but this aint about that...
I don't think they should bring back this or rush hour 4, its just not the same so many years later..

after waiting 8 years to reunite the band they had to go way over the top..if Martin hadn't done Blue Streak, Will had passed on Wild Wild West,.and they called Michael Bay after Armageddon in '99 they coulda shot Bad Boys 2 in what we call the "old school way" lol

He and Chan are irreplaceable. That franchise libes or dies based off of them. That's why the studios were at a point where they didn't want to either bother because they didn't want to continue paying those high salaries

Yea I remember when BB 1 came out and we begged mom to rent it. Didn't even get into 5 mins of it and mom said "Too much cursing. We're returning it". I'll never forget going back to Blockbuster and the man at the counter laughing under his breathe at my mom asking for another movie, cause he knew this was the most popular new rental. By the time I got around to seeing it finally, I didn't appreciate it as much as I wanted to. But when 2 came out, I saw that shyt twice in theaters. I guess cause my experience with the first was ruined, I dont hold it up as much as the second.
