Have you noticed the resurrection whilst out and about? From trousers that look like oversized drain pipes, straight up, straight down, with no tailoring or shape from waist to hem as well as jackets that look like you need a quarterbacks shoulders to wear them when the one sporting them is extra medium at best.

It looks like this trend is about to be back in full effect. Dust off the Avirex... Loosen up the Girbaud... The flab is alive.

The difference is all of this baggy gear is being made by high end fashion brands and is being sold for hundreds and thousands

Back in the 90s and 2000s these looks were manufactured by urban/hip-hop brands and skaters so it seems off to those who grew up back then who remember the authenticity of that era.

These fashion companies are just looking at hot Topic and CCS catalogs now for their looks.

100 with that. It was BUFU back then as it was totally organic and came with the landscape as well as being of the time.

This new stuff is just switching up trends for sales to see who can be influenced even if it leads to things like this:

I've only seen it in the streets in a noticeable way recently. That said I don't keep up with trends, just commenting on what I'm observing as I know fashion is cyclical and was waiting for them to resurrect this when they started pushing them goofy ass alien shoes that look like they ate your regular kicks and are now some parasitic hybrid species.

Really? Show examples that’s not on a runway show.
I cant really think of anyone famous off the top of my head.
but think Kanye etc...
but more fashionable young people in cities have been on it the past few years

this kinda look
I think thats his label...
...but its inline with whats been going on.

the 90s aesthetic has been hot

the tight shyt is only really worn by people who are late on trends...
...which is why you still see it in the hood.

but even with hood wear youre seeing Pelle's and Avirex coming back

Gen Z really thinks they’re trailblazers, rehashing every fad from Millennials and Generation X and thinking in their heart of hearts with no detectable sense of irony that they’re bringing something new and fresh to the scene.
