Also, they are definitely wary of outsiders, especially black folk in those countries.

That being said, when i visited Thailand, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. But they are very anti-materialism and exploitation over there, so that is ultimately what did them in. I know plenty of black folk with actual tourist business in Thailand, so that area is actually an EXCELLENT place for black folk with money to travel if you want to get away from the west for a bit. But do not go there to flaunt.

Indeed Thailand is amazing away from places like Bangkok and the party islands. But modesty and respect will get you far.

It's why when you really get talking to the the locals you find they hated a lot of the white and chinese tourists who came.

As they were vulgar and thought they were better because they have a bit more money and wouldn't acknowledge thai people they thought were beneath then or try to even speak the language. A Sawadee krap goes a long way.
