They don't mess around. Indonesia has the largest Muslim population of any nation, with all the attendant risks to a secular government that that brings. No government official is going to risk offending the people they have to live with for some entitlement-infected westerner, white or otherwise. I wouldn't describe my opinion as strong. Just said i doubted their was any precedent to this particular punishment and that it's likely comparatively harsher than what a citizen would receive for the same violation.

Breh they deported a white boy for this same exact reason last year and yes, most countries are more inclined to be harsher in their treatment/punishment of foreigners who commit crimes as opposed to their own countrymen. So what? It's meant to be a deterrent.

That being said, when i visited Thailand, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. But they are very anti-materialism and exploitation over there, so that is ultimately what did them in. I know plenty of black folk with actual tourist business in Thailand, so that area is actually an EXCELLENT place for black folk with money to travel if you want to get away from the west for a bit. But do not go there to flaunt.
