Nah man we don't have the pick at all. That's the pick we traded to Phoenix in the Steve Nash deal. It finally conveyed to Philly after all these years who got the pick from Phoenix in the Brandon Knight trade.
Explaining the Celtics-76ers trade's unique future NBA Draft pick protections

I see the confusion I had with the language. That pick won't go to Philly though if it falls between 2-5, it goes to Boston. That shyt sounds way more complicated than it needs to be.

very impressed with his improvement. he still has his sloppy moments but he CLEARLY put in work in the offseason...much better defender, quicker and more decisive

He needs more then marginal improvements to get a max though... or even an annual salary over $15M from us. That lost first year really hurt his development. In any case, with a cap hold of about $12M, the only way I can see us retaining him beyond next summer is through a qualifying offer. Most likely he gets traded or we renounce his rights and let him walk (like the Pistons did with KCP).

This is why many fans see the writing on the wall with him and are eager to move on from him.

Nothing is imminent with Randle...a deal won't even be discussed until after the start of FA imo

Hopefully what is imminent is trading him for something because letting your lottery pick walk is a major whiff. Either way it’s looking like two consecutive lottery picks were wasted...

if Lakers had Atkinson as a coach, they would look much better as a squad. Luke just doesn't cut it. He has no track record of improving or developing players. I actually wanted that one spur assistant coah with the accent before Luke was hired.

You talking about Ettore Messina? He was actually a consultant for the Lakers during the 2011-2012 season. And we got permission from the Spirs to interview him but they went with Luke instead.
