This is too much to give up for a late first round pick. It's gonna mess up team chemistry and the teams current winning ways. Dunno why Magic decided to help the Cavs like this. At least the Lakers will be dropping them come the end of the season.

exactly. this is an excellent trade. up to 50m in cap space now
Eh, it helps the Cavs out. They get rid of IT who LeBron and seemingly everyone else on the team dislikes besides Jae Crowder. Clarkson will just shut up and wait for LeBron to pass him the ball and shoot unlike IT. Nance gives an old squad some energy slightly better defense.

Windhurst sold me on it. Lakers will have the two max slots available for free agency now if they renounce Randle and stretch Deng plus getting a 1st out of it even if it's in the mid 20s. That does give them a chance to either keep Randle if they strike out or if they get someone to agree to sign then they can easily match any offer he gets.
