3That was around Pennsylvania Ave which is one of the worst areas of the city. Of course it looks bad
:mjlol:

There’s some real nice areas here tho but everybody always focuses on the fukked up ones and then say how it looks like a war torn country or some shyt.

The whole area from Greenmount/York to Falls Rd going East to West 33rd all the to the County Going north & south is the nice part of the city that nobody ever talks about.

Or these

Baltimore does a horrible job at highlighting its qualities.

I've been to every U.S. major city for the most part and Baltimore is probably #1 when it comes to how bad the hoods look but you can tell how beautiful the blocks used to be.

One day, I was in West Baltimore and it really looked like a scene out of the Wire. Cats looking like Bubbles pushing shopping carts down the street. Junkies everywhere.

I got a lot of love for the city tho, it has a charm to it that most coastal cities no longer have. I want to see it regain it's prosperity without all the brothas and sistas being pushed out. Just tearing down vacants without building anything on it will make it even more depressing IMO.

Chicago has torn down a lot of buildings on the southside and it doesn't look pretty to me. They even got this project where you can buy a vacant lot if you have a plan for it but I'm not sure how successful the program has been.
I hate when the city tears down those 2/3flat greystones and replaces it with nothing.

Such beautiful architecture just gone.

It is necessary to prevent squatters and drug activity but urban prairies make neighborhoods look even more fukked up.

I used to do a lot of work in Baltimore and Gotdamn some of those areas I would be nervous to turn my back to the sidewalks. Terrible poverty.

Crazy thing I noticed was there were no supermarkets at all in some areas.

I would watch this kid in the summer come out a row house and go get breakfast and his
Lunch from the corner store. Mom either didn’t have any groceries or wasn’t home. Lil dude was like 8yrs old.

I used to hang at the Harbor when I wanted to take a NJ bytch outta town. Cool spot but it started getting crazy at night. Groups of kids coming thru acting crazy.

Detroit does that, or at least they used to.

They still tear homes down, but they've been auctioning them off too since Duggan got elected.

A lot of vacants have been rehabbed.

I'm going on 4 years remodeling an abandoned on the Eastside, street is still decent.

Couple streets south is a no-zone. And I'll be Goddamned if white folks weren't rehabbing a house there a few weeks ago.

A while back, I went with a coworker to watch his son play basketball at Morgan State and was shocked at what I saw.. Looked like a straight up third world country.. Had never been in Baltimore prior to that.
