If a guy is on fire against your team, the logical thing to do defensively is to double/triple team him to get the ball out his hands. OR…you foul him to kill his rhythm.
The wizards did both of those things.
And the fouls that were called for Bam were legitimate fouls.
Now let’s suppose that the Wizards didn’t double Bam or foul him. And he got the 83 pts.
The narrative would then be: why didn’t the Wizards double team or foul him? Adam Silvers no defense league!! Blah blah blah.

Bam is not top 100 of all time. When NBA made their top 75 there were a lot of names left out like Dwight, Klay, even Bam's former teammate Jimmy Butler is higher on all time list than him.
